The Process
Once you book and receive your appointment confirmation you will be sent a few things to do to prepare for your spray tan. This will include waxing, shaving, exfoliating and other beauty treatments.
Upon my arrival we will have a short consultation to determine the best shade of spray tan for your skin type to achieve a natural full body glow. Disposable underwear will be available for you to wear during your spray tan, but of course tan lines are optional. You can wear what you choose or nothing at all.
A space to set up a portable spray tan tent will be needed (see photo) and access to a power outlet. You will be asked to stand in the portable spray tan tent while the light, cool, bronzing mist is applied. Once your spray tan is applied you will be dried off, ready to redress into your loose dark clothing and wait for your tan to work its magic. You will be given instructions on how to care for your tan while it is developing and after the initial wash. The process will take about 20 -30 minutes from start to finish.
The preperation of your skin is key to an even application and longer lasting tan.
Before
-Shower Shave/Wax 24 hours before your spray tan
-Exfoliate skin to promote even coverage and lengthen the duration of your tan
-Moisturize your skin before you go to sleep the night before your tan
-Avoid all products that contain oil
-Do not apply any products on the day of tan - it will become a barrier for the tan
After
-Wear dark loose clothing after application - no leggings or jeans
- Wait 6-8 hours before initial rinse and excessive sweating( 1-4 hours with express tan)
- Do not apply lotions, perfumes or make up before your first rinse
- Rinse your tan off with warm water only - no soap
-Pat skin dry do not rub
